The 4th Charles Russell Varsity Twenty20 Match takes place at Fenner’s on Friday June 17th. Come and watch 150 years of traditional rivalry settled in three hours of frantic Twenty20 action.
Although the first cricket match between Oxford and Cambridge was played way back in 1861, the recent introduction of the Twenty20 format means that this is only the 4th Charles Russell Twenty20 Varsity match. The previous three games have all been great spectacles, and with both teams having extensive first-class experience, the standard promises to be higher than ever. The beautiful Fenner’s cricket ground provides a stunning setting. Recently voted the 3rd best pitch in the country and boasting a lightning-fast outfield, expect a high-scoring game filled of boundaries.
